Comic Book Shader Pack

Overview
Comic Book Shader Pack is a set of five shaders that together create a comic-style or hand-drawn visual effect. The package includes the following shaders:
Artistic – Applies a brushstroke effect. You can adjust the blur to increase or decrease the size of the strokes.
Cel Shader – Creates sharp shadow separation and allows control over shadow borders and intensity.
Hatching – Adds a hatching effect. It includes various settings, from texture selection to curves that define shadow placement, allowing for flexible adjustments to fit your needs and lighting.
Outline – Adds an outline effect that takes normals into account. You can adjust the sensitivity level for normals.
Paper – A simple shader that overlays a paper texture on the image.

TIP: The shaders work in both color and black-and-white modes. You can control the image's color using the standard color settings in post-processing. I chose to demonstrate the shaders in black and white, and in the demo scene, the saturation is set to 0. Set it to 1 to make your image colorful.
It also contains a demo level (not the one from the demo video) with standard Unreal primitives and post-processing with all shaders enabled. The Textures folder contains textures for the Paper and Hatching shaders.
Artistic Shader
For the Artistic shader, there are two versions: Directional and Non-Directional. The Non-Directional version blurs the image without considering direction, while the Directional version takes direction into account, resulting in a slightly different blur effect. The difference between the two versions is not very significant, but it provides additional flexibility for fine-tuning the look.

Cel Shader
In the Cel Shader, you can adjust the shadow brightness and the transition boundary between light and shadow.

Hatching shader
TIP: Shader settings may produce different results depending on your objects and scene lighting. A configuration that works well for one scene may not be suitable for another, but you can create different curve presets for these cases. Other effects, such as the Cel Shader, can also influence how shadows appear. Experiment with the settings of all shaders to achieve the desired result.

Hatching shader parametres description:
Shadow Scale (for Dark, Mid and Light)
Allows you to control the tiling/size of the hatching strokes. The higher the value, the larger the strokes.
Masks
Allows you to control the boundaries between different hatching styles: cross-hatching and simple hatching. For each type of hatching, you can adjust the curve separately, as shown in the screenshot. It is recommended to fine-tune the curve parameters at higher image values to achieve the best possible result.

Textures
You can replace the hatching textures with your own.

Outline
In the settings, you can adjust the outline values for normals and the thickness of the outline.

Paper
You can change the paper texture, for example, making it old, yellowed, or worn. The project includes one option with a simple textured paper.
If you have any questions about using the plugin, I'll be happy to answer them if you contact me via the email listed in my Fab profile.
